The SoPhTec® Model C-250 Water Conditioner is designed to deal with the problems associated with the formation of calcium scale. The product is intended for use in conjunction with the Model C-500 Water Conditioner as a complete system as well as on apartment-size water heaters, dishwashers, steam tables, coffee makers, ice makers, and other point-of-use applications with flow rates up to 5 gal/min. It is intended for installation on plastic, copper, or other non-ferrous pipe or tubing with an outside diameter of 1/4" to 3/4". However, experience has shown that system performance is not degraded by installation on galvanized iron or other ferrous pipe.

As part of the SoPhTec® home water conditioning system, the Model C-250 is installed on the hot-water line exiting the water heater. Otherwise install the Model C-250 on the water lines leading to apartment water heaters, commercial coffee makers, ice machines, steam tables, and other point-of-use applications.
